Do i qualify?

You have the right to sue.

If you were paid to engage in in-person sexual acts with another person, you are a victim of commercial sexual exploitation — and you have a right to sue your buyer.

Commercial sexual exploitation includes escorting, prostitution, illicit massages, "sugaring," paid arrangements, sexual activity in back rooms of strip clubs, hotel or apartment meet-ups, and sex arranged through websites, apps, or third parties.

No matter how the transaction was disguised or arranged — you have the right to sue.

The problem

All sex buyers are predators.

Sex buyers deliberately target vulnerability. Paying for sex is illegal in all 50 states, regardless of the victim's age or how the transaction is disguised. Even in Nevada, where licensed brothels operate in limited areas, people sold for sex retain the right to sue those who buy access to their bodies.

Who is being sold for sex?

Buyers often tell themselves: Selling sex is a choice. It's just a transaction between adults. The evidence does not support this — and buyers know it. The data tells a different story:

Up to 84%

of survivors were sexually abused as children

Raphael (2004), reviewed by U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services · Range across 20 studies

68%

meet criteria for PTSD — in the same range as combat veterans and victims of torture

Farley et al., Journal of Trauma Practice, 2004 · n=854, 9 countries incl. U.S.

89%

want to escape prostitution but report having no other options for survival

Farley et al., Journal of Trauma Practice, 2004 · n=854, 9 countries incl. U.S.

96%

of survivors experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse before exploitation

Polaris Project, 2022 · n=457 U.S. sex & labor trafficking survivors

These are not signs of free choice. They are signs of vulnerability.
Sex buying requires finding someone vulnerable enough to be sold.

Buyer beware.

You may already be implicated in a lawsuit and not know it yet. Every time you buy sex, you increase your chances of being publicly sued — and once the first case goes public, others will follow.

Our advice: Stop buying sex now.
